A loan helped a member to buy bralima and brasimba drinks, which will strengthen her starting capital.

Mukulumanya Group's story

Ms. Margueritte is a customer of the micro-finance institution Hekima and presides over the village group Mukulumanya. She is a widow, aged 54, with three children who are in school.

She sells drinks; she started this business 15 years ago with startup funds received from her deceased husband. She later joined the Hekima program to support her business, which has gradually grown. With this new loan she will buy bralima and brasimba drinks, which will strengthen her starting capital. The challenge to her business is the lack of customers.

She would like to develop her business and her children to continue their studies. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to business owners who do not have access to capital in this context of the global Covid-19 crisis.

In this group: Georgette, Margueritte, Marie Josee, Hernestine, Augustine, Bibina, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Jannette, Francoise, Esperance, Petronie, Kahindo, Ana, Nadine
