Ms. Margueritte is a customer of the micro-finance institution Hekima and presides over the village group Mukulumanya. She is a widow, aged 54, with three children who are in school.
She sells drinks; she started this business 15 years ago with startup funds received from her deceased husband. She later joined the Hekima program to support her business, which has gradually grown.
