A loan helped to expand her pig farming business as well as complete and renovate her rental houses.

Elena's story

Elena is a loving mother of school-going children and a loving wife to her husband. She is a landlady who is also in love with animal husbandry.

Elena rears pigs on her farm and she identifies with the needs of this species of animals, thus she is able to give them the care they need for maximum production. She is able to select a good breed of pigs even by looking at them — such as by looking at their coating, their eyes, their temperament and other things. Her pigs are reared in a calm and quiet place in the village where there is cheap labor, feeds and land. She enjoys growing pigs because they mature faster than other livestock and their gestation period is shorter. Through this business, she happens to create employment for casual laborers from her community from time to time, and this contributes positively to her community.

Her last loan was used to expand the business by buying four piglets, and she was able to repay it back on time. This time around she is kindly requesting a loan to help her buy more piglets and also renovate and complete her rental houses.

Profits from her business will enable her to repay her loan faithfully, and the rest will help provide for her family.

Elena is happy to be providing food for her community and is committed to continuing to do so. Her dream is to expand and own more than 10 rental houses in the future.
