A loan helped a minority woman-owned custom apparel business buy equipment and inventory to grow and design more products.

Alysa's story

I started creating beautiful things at a young age. Ever since I was a young girl, I have had a passion for creativity. I started out doing things on the side only for family and close friends. I would create flyers, Brochures, Banners, and much more. My family has always been my support system and encouraged me to go further. The more and more I would create things for those close to me, and as I continued to hear my cheer quad (family) cheering me on, I began to question how successful I could be if I decided to start my own business.

Over time, I continued to only produce products for my family as I worked to perfect my craft. After years and years of staying in a comfortable bubble, I decided it was now time to branch out and share my gift with the world. I began to produce products for more than my family. After getting more and more requests for items, I took the next steps and created my own business - AK Creations. I was nervous about this journey, but I have no regrets. I have had the opportunity to create so much for so many people. I have been able to make weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, trips, etc. much more special for my customers. I have a passion for creativity, and I am eager to bring my customers' visions to life. I just want to make beautiful things.
