Sajida's Group's story

Sajida lives in Lahore, which is an historic city of Pakistan and known for its history and culture. She has lived in a 2 room brick house in the area named Mughalpura with her family for the past 6 years. She is married to M. F., who is a tailor by profession. He specifically sews men's clothes and serves a good number of clients. His earnings allow him to manage the financial circle of his family.

Sajida is a very supportive lady. She supports her husband financially by selling shawls (a kind of cloth, worn over body and shoulders) to her community. Her earnings allow her to pay for the utilities expenses. Sajida has one son who is 8 years old and is studying in kindergarten. Her brother-in-law also lives with them, who has a ladies' garments shop in the market and has being doing this business for the past six years. He also contributes to the family financially from his earnings.

She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah for her brother-in-law’s business. With the loan, he will buy ladies' garments of different varieties in bulk quantity. The garments' variety will help him to sell to more customers and to earn more profits. Sajida is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 3rd loan application. In previous loan years, she has been a responsible client of Asasah, who has paid her installments on time and never missed any meeting.
