Sampa's story

Sampa is a 49-year-old business woman from Magburaka, Seirra Leone. She is married and has five children between 11 and 25 years of age. None of her children are currently attending school. She started her retail business to take care of her family. She sells cooking items to her customers around the community. She has been in the business for the past eight years.

For Sampa, the increasing prices of goods are a challenge. She is seeking a loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more cooking items such as onion, palm oil, peppers, etc., to increase her business. Sampa says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business further. Sampa is thankful to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
