A loan helped a minority-owned notarial services business continue to grow.

Victoria's story

I started my business to give back to my community and make some essential things accessible via the internet. I wanted to bring affordable and quality services to people like me. Before forming my business, I worked full-time and was in school to become a nurse. Within a few months of school, my pursuits and life had altered because of covid-19. I was confronted with losing my job, moving to online schooling, and no real help navigating a strange way of living created by the pandemic. I was stuck in a world that was familiar but still so different. I couldn't find a job, and I had no way to access and apply for assistance. Everyday shiftings like going to the library to fax a paper or print were not accessible. Essential obligations like renewing my car registration or driver's license became almost impossible. Growing up in a family of eight made me more innovative and forward-looking. I was determined to utilize what I retained growing up and my acquired resilience to start a business that could benefit me and others. A company that could aid my community but can still be executed from home if needed. I decided to start Wholly Baby LLC.
