A loan helped to buy seeds and farm inputs.

Mamadou Alpha's story

MAMADOU, in the photo, just benefited from his second loan cycle. The prior one was paid back without a problem. He has been active in farming for years. He is 63, married, and the father of seven.

This loan will be used to purchase peanut seeds for his off-season planting this year. He will use the rest of the loan to purchase sacks of fertilizer and containers of herbicides, which will allow him a good quality harvest at the end of the season. He will also cover the wages of workers.

The earnings will serve to purchase ewes and to meet family needs.
