A loan helped to access quality farm inputs and services.

Furera's story

Furera is a 40-year-old woman who is warm, cheerful, and surrounded by family, and she is surprisingly optimistic for someone who has worked so hard her entire life.

She's married, lives in a small village in Bauchi, Nigeria, and has always considered herself an entrepreneur. Her children occasionally help her out on the farm.

Furera has been farming with Babban Gona since she was 38 years old, and her main problem has been a lack of access to quality inputs.

She wants a loan to access quality farm inputs and services. Furera expects 40 bags per hectare from this year's harvest, double the Nigerian national average of 20 bags per hectare.

She plans to reinvest the profits from this harvest into her farm and support her children's education and start a livestock business (cow, poultry, etc).

With your help, Furera can afford the high cost of farm inputs necessary for her enterprise. Your loan will go a long way toward changing the life of this female smallholder farmer.

This loan is special because:

It supports smallholder farmers and helps them increase yields.
