A loan helped a member the purchase of firewood for burning his bricks.

Bukasa Kirabo Development Group-Mukono's story

Thirty-six-year-old Joshua W. has deduced over time that it’s hard work that is the road to short- and long-term business success. These deductions are based on a decade-long experience that he says has helped him see the checkered nature of running a business.

Joshua W., who belongs to the Bukasa Kirabo Group-Mukono, operates a brick-laying business. He is an easygoing married father of two children whose faces glow with excitement every time he sends them to school. It is a business he began with inspiration from a close friend. Prior to that, he was operating a retail shop. Joshua, who also plies a canteen business, says he makes 40,000 shillings a week. With this loan, he wants to buy more firewood for burning his bricks.
