A loan helped to revive her business by buying mulberry for her tapa making.

Fusi's story

Fusi is a mother and the wife of a farmer. It has been years since she started her tapa-making business, and once every week she joins a group of women in their village to make tapas.

Fusi designs her tapas, then sells them to local and overseas buyers. Her daughters help her with softening her mulberry.

When she has extra soft tapas, she sells them to their group of women, for some prefer to buy their soft tapas, rather than preparing them.

Fusi is applying for this rehabilitation loan to buy mulberry in order to revive her business.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
