A loan helped a woman-owned business overcome the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis.

Sandra's story

I have over 18 years of experience in retail management and marketing. My passion for children's retail apparel drove me to become an entrepreneur. In 2004, I launched Choco-Coco Imports – a Texas-based wholesale company that imports high quality children’s apparel brands from Europe and Latin America to the USA and the Caribbean. My entrepreneurial vision led me to develop the franchise concept – Choco-Coco Kiddie Couture.
Today, I am recognized as a leading importer of the highest quality children's apparel brands. My repertoire of luxury children's wear brands includes designers such as Agatha Ruiz De La Prada, Antonio Miro, Elio Berhanyer, Ermanno Scervino, Laura Biagiotti, Gianfranco Ferré, and my own brand Choco-Coco.
My U.S.-based luxury client roster includes Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom Chasing Fireflies, and The Breakers Hotel, Palm Beach, to name a few. I will oversee all aspects of retail management including – concept development, brand and image development, interior design, and retail operations from import, human resources, and forecasting to distribution.

This loan is special because:
