A loan helped to buy girdles, undergarments, brassieres, perfumes, trinkets, and other products.

Karina Monserrate's story

Karina Monserrate is 38 years old, in a common-law relationship, and has two children (ages 9 and 4) who are in school. Her husband works for a private company. They live in their own home in the city of Portoviejo, which was affected by an earthquake on April 16, 2016. This city is rich in its production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Karina Monserrate sells clothes, Belcorp catalog products (Ibel, Cyzone, and Esika brands of beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes, and women’s accessories), and Leonisa products (women’s lingerie, girdles, bathing suits, and men’s undergarments). She works three days a week for two to three hours each day. Karina Monserrate sells her products on credit and collects payments every eight days.

This loan will be used to buy girdles, undergarments, brassieres, perfumes, trinkets, and other products. Her dreams are to have many sales and to see her family in good health.
