A loan helped a woman owned, minority business grow, expand through working capital for contracts, supplies.

Michelle's story

I believe my calling is in real estate. I tried to be a real estate investor in the mid-2000s; I even had a few rental properties- then the financial crisis came in and wiped everything away from me as well as several others. My husband lost his job as a loan officer and I lost all the investment properties I had.
I became a licensed insurance agent and this is what I've done for over a decade. All along wanting and waiting for an opportunity to return to the field of real estate. I'll be completing my master's in finance this July and I intend to use every hour of instruction that I've had to make this business a success! I relied on this education to get up and pursue my dreams. I enjoy every aspect of property management and placement for short-term rentals. Finding the property, furnishing the home, and booking the reservations-I love it! It also allows me to meet the diverse needs of the people I come into contact with. People need short-term housing for various reasons and sometimes those circumstances are not happy ones. This business will be a benefit to the community I serve as it will meet the needs of many and for reasons other than profit.
I am very proud to have started my business as a short-term rental property manager and have a property to open in under six months' time. I intend to give back on the blessings I've received and donate some nights during each month free of charge to families in emergency circumstances. I know what it is to have a lost your home and be in need of a place to stay.
