Coumba's Group's story

This group was created in 2015 when the banc villageois was established. The group is composed of seven women from the same village. The members share good relations of mutual aid and work raising livestock.

Coumba, who is on the right in the photo with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 55 years old. She is also married and a mother of six children, including two daughters. She has raised livestock since she joined the banc villageois.

With her loan, she wishes to buy sheep, goats, and cows from the weekly markets.

Profits will allow her to repay her loan and strengthen her business.
