A loan helped a member to buy seeds.

Kweri Aye Kwot Group's story

Kala is a 42-year-old farmer who live in Lira, which is in the northern part of Uganda. She is extremely hardworking, which she demonstrates by waking up very early and going to bed late at night. Kala grows cotton, maize, groundnuts, and sesame. By selling her crops, she is able to provide for some of her family’s basic needs, but not all of them.

Kala would like to buy a variety of seeds for growing tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and other vegetables. As a result, she will be able to sell more, provide a better life for her family, and pursue her dream of building a better house.

Kala is grateful to VisionFund and Kiva for all of their support.
