A loan helped to launch safe drinking water businesses in Zambia.

Chisha's story

Jibu Zambia was launched in July 2019. The business was co-founded and led by two sisters, Chisha and Carole. Prior to Jibu, Chisha was the CEO of a Zambian optometry chain and also worked with Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Carole was head of retail banking operations in ZANACO, Zambia’s largest bank.

Jibu's mission is to capitalize and equip a network of independent locally-owned franchises who create affordable access to drinking water and other necessities.

This loan will provide financing to Jibu Zambia to launch safe drinking water businesses and support their expansion. Funds will be used for installing water filtration units, store build-outs, staff training, delivery vehicles, and/or bottle inventory.

By supporting this loan, you’re helping entrepreneurs start their own business while increasing their community’s access to clean water.

This loan is special because:

It increases access to safe drinking water in more countries.
