A loan helped to buy pigs and feed to raise them.

Mayra Alejandra's story

Mayra is a young single mother of 21 years of age. She lives in the rural community of Chitacaspi. She works as a day worker and raises small animals.

She is seeking a loan to be able to expand her business with the purchase of pigs and the necessary feed to raise them. In this way she will be able to help herself with the sale of the animals, managing to offer her little son everything necessary for his growth.

Mayra aims to be able to continue making progress with raising animals until she builds up to having dairy cattle.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Pam McMurry.
