And Ligueye Haffe Mouride Group's story

[AND LIGUEYE HAFFE MOURIDE] (Working together for our community) is a group composed of nine women. They have been bound by strong ties of solidarity and friendship for many years. The group was established in December 2020.

Mrs. Fatou (standing in the middle of the photo, dressed in a white t-shirt and holding the ram's horn), is the president of the group. She is a professional breeder. She is 23 years old, married and mother of four children between the ages of 4 and 8. Two of them go to school.

She obtains her supplies from regional weekly markets where she resells, often selling to individuals. Her monthly income reaches 60,000 CFA francs.

Mrs. Fatou dreams of having a sheep barn in order to set up her own store.

She is asking the IMF for a loan in order to expand her business. She plans to use this loan to purchase 3 sheep and use the rest of the funds to cover veterinary and food costs for the livestock.

What she likes the most about this business is to be able to meet all of her children's needs (food, clothing, schooling, medical expenses, etc.), to have more income, and meet her future goals. She plans to build a pen in order to protect the livestock from theft.

In this group: Arame, Mame Sokhna, Anthia, Awa, Maguatte, Fatou, Mame Seune, Mbathie, Daba
