A loan helped to buy fruits, vegetables, sugar, corn, beans, etc. to increase store inventory, and to buy baby chicks.

Maria Soledad's story

María has decided to apply for another loan to have working capital to invest in her business and insure sustainability. She will buy fruits, vegetables, sugar, corn, beans, etc. to strengthen her store inventory. She also will buy baby chicks, feed and vitamins to expand her poultry farm.

With the help of past loans Maria has been able to diversify her business, improving her family’s economic conditions. Now, in addition to having a chicken farm, she also has a store where she sells basic products, fruits and vegetables. She opened it six months ago and started selling fruit and vegetables. Her work day is from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The difficulties she faces are the unstable prices of the products she sells, many of which are fresh produce.

Maria’s family situation has not changed and they have had no health problems.
