Klipphaka's story

Klipphaka is a married woman who lives with her husband and children in a Khmer community of the Surin Province, Northeast Thailand. In general, her family makes a living by cultivating a rice farm and selling food and vegetables. Klipphaka was inspired by her parents to run a fresh food vending business. Importantly, she has wants to promote and serve nutritious food for children in schools. So far, she has been doing this with a local school in her community. During this period, she began planning to renovate her van to deliver food and vegetables to schools and to her customers.

Klipphaka applied for a Kiva loan to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables to sell and to pay for reovations to her van. This loan is very important for Klipphaka. It will help her improve her business, while also supporting a local entrepreneur.
