Sudawan's story

Sudawan is a local woman who lives with her mother in a Khmer community of Surin Province in Northeast Thailand. Sudawan's family has various occupations including cultivating a rice farm, weaving silk cloth, and selling fresh fruits.

Regarding selling fruits, Sudawan was inspired by her neighbor and learned about the occupation from YouTube videos. She has found it a good way to make money to spend on her family while also encouraging people to eat fruits. The business has been doing well, so Sudawan decided to expand the business. Then, she applied for a Kiva loan to purchase a new glass cabinet and fruits for sale.

This loan is very important to Sudawan, and it will enable her to improve her business while also supporting her as a female entrepreneur. She desires to open her own food stall in the future and earn more money for her family.
