Rodnnie's story

My name is Rodnnie and I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2014, driven by health motivations, my partner and I decided to adopt a vegan lifestyle. We noticed that by then on the island, there were not many vegan places to go out to eat or savor desserts. This led us to experiment at home with various recipes that resulted in the creation of many delicious dishes, appetizers, and desserts. Both of us had worked in the restaurant industry where we had the opportunity to learn about vegan cuisine, cooking techniques, pastry making, and how to effectively manage a business. These experiences aided us in expanding our palates and integrating that knowledge into our culinary experimentation.

In 2017, we moved to the northeastern United States. Being there, we had the opportunity of visiting many vegan food places around the area and also in southern Canada. We also explored businesses during trips to Europe and Mexico. Knowing we would eventually return to Puerto Rico, we started to contemplate the idea of opening a vegan soft serve ice cream shop on the island. Ironically, we had already studied the market without knowing we would start a business. Along the way, we discovered it was feasible to bring to Puerto Rico an innovative and refreshing concept.

In 2020, we moved back to the island and started to breathe life into our business. Your financial support will help us bring our vision to life and will directly strengthen Puerto Rico's economy.
