A loan helped women-owned business buy inventory and grow our small business.

Ashley's story

I am the owner of a retail women's store at Extraordinarily Fashion LLC. I am from a traditional background. I grew up in Tuscaloosa city but became eager to be an entrepreneur while spending every day after school in my grandma's thrift store in Tuscaloosa. Everything about being a business- women thrilled me: I loved learning from my Grandma about customer service sales adaptability persistence, and hardworking. I was inspired to work hard and do research so that I can become a businesswoman.

After several years of researching retail as a Ceo, I began Extraordinarily Fashion LLC in 2019. I started from scratch with no inventory. I have grown my company by carefully saving, and re-investing my earnings learning from other businesswomen in the areas, and by making observations and learning from my own experience. I am very proud and have given back to other start-up businesses.

As I became more experienced, I have taught other women how to open a business. Every week I help other business women with any questions they might have. I am grateful that I can pass my business down to my daughter and my grandchild (21 and 1), I will also be able to teach them how to become a business owner.

This loan is special because:

It helps this business continue to grow.
