A loan helped a member to buy more goods to sell in their grocery store.

Noong Het 41 Group's story

Mrs. Yen was born in 1964 in a poor village in Vietnam. She married and became the mother of two children. In the photo, she wears a blue shirt and is on the left.

Since Yen has children, she has taken great effort to overcome all of her deficiencies and raise her children up by her grocery store. Not only that, her husband works as a farmer to earn extra money for the family. Luckily, her business is very good and brings her high profit.

Yen is also given lots of faith by other villagers and was elected as the leader of a domestic violence prevention group. Unfortunately, she is sick and can’t be the leader of that group.

In addition, recently the COVID-19 pandemic has made her business difficult. Therefore, Yen decided to expand her grocery store with the support of the Anh Chi Em Program which has lent her a loan. She plans to use this loan to buy more goods for her grocery store.

Mrs. Yen is grateful for this loan from Kiva lenders and the Anh Chi Em program. The profit will be used to pay tuition fees for her young children to go to apprentice school and the remaining profit will be saved.
