A loan helped a member to buy juice, Omo, flour, sugar, and Fanta.

Heshima Group's story

Claudine is a customer of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the Heshima group. She is married, 45 years old, and the mother of 8 children who all attend school. Her partner is a merchant.

She sells various items. She started her business 26 years ago with start-up funds she received from Hekima's loan program for the enterprise, which has gradually developed. She will use the new loan to buy juice, Omo, flour, sugar, and Fanta. The main challenge her business faces is the higher dollar exchange rate.

She would like to see her children continue with their education and to buy a plot of land.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they are giving to owners of non-bankable businesses during this Covid-19 pandemic.

Note: due to social distancing measures, only the group leader is pictured.
