Unidos Por Samugari Group's story

The Unidos por Samugari communal bank is a responsible, joyful group made up of 13 women and 2 men for a total of 15 members. It is led by Sonia who is the president together with the treasurer and the secretary. Because of the pandemic only they appear in the photograph.

Irma is one representative of the group. She is 40 years old. She is an enterprising women with many virtues, serious and very responsible. She has been earning a living farming and producing cocoa for over 20 years. She is requesting the loan from Kiva to maintain her farming land and obtain better quality cocoa to offer her customers so they continue to recommend her.

Besides this Irma has two children aged 15 and 11 years old, a girl and a boy who are her inspiration for continuing on. She is saving to buy new work tools to improve her cocoa production. Her partner helps her a lot planting and harvesting. Both are working for a better future.
