A loan helped a member to buy groundnut seeds and fertiliser.

05- Group's story

This group of women was created in July 2020. They all live in the same district and enjoy very strong bonds of kinship and solidarity. Their principal activity is farming.

Because of covid-19, Amy has been chosen to represent the group in the picture. She is 31 years old, married, and the mother of 3 children, 2 of whom are girls. She is a farmer.

She will use this loan to buy seeds and bags of fertiliser so that she can grow groundnuts. After the harvest, she will sell her produce at the market for a good price in the hope of increasing her income.

She plans to save part of her profits and to use the rest to help her husband meet the family's needs (food, healthcare, the children's education).

In this group: Ramatou, Khady, Aida, Amy, Seynabou, Boury, Mariama, Seynabou, Satou
