A loan helped to build a sheep stable to develop her business.

Irina's story

Irina is a 31-year-old woman from Cetireni village, in the Ungheni region of Moldova. She is married and has two daughters, who make her life more beautiful. Irina is employed at the sewing company in her town. The income she earns is not enough to support her family.

To increase the family's income, this year she bought 30 sheep and started producing dairy products. Irina learned her job from her parents, and she likes the field she has chosen. She sells dairy products at the village market. She manages to get high-quality production because she puts a lot of effort into this work. Irina hopes that, in the future, she will be able to expand her business and get enough income to support her family.

The sheep are now at the sheepfold, which is far from her home. It is difficult for her to always rent transportation to go there. For this reason, Irina applied for a loan from Kiva to build her own sheep stable. This will make her work easier and help her save money.
