A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizers to improve her crop output and increase income to support her family.

Zippy's story

Zippy is a 37-year-old mother of one child. She lives in Embu, a remote area located on a gentle plain before the ascent into the central highlands of Kenya. Zippy works with plenty of determination so that she can achieve her dreams. On her farm, she grows crops and raises livestock. She also earns extra income from a personal business.

In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, which requires upgraded inputs for effective production. Although Zippy has been earning profits from farming, not everything has been easy for this humble and industrious mother. Her farm has not been producing much of a harvest lately due to a lack of fertilizer and good seeds, as well as the presence of pests and diseases. For these reasons, she is seeking a loan to buy seeds and fertilizers to improve her crop output. This loan will help this mother earn profits to support her family.

Zippy is very thankful for this gesture of goodwill in her life.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
