A loan helped a small, local, woman-owned business grow and feed its community.

Ana Belen's story

There are as many marmalade recipes as there are families in Navarra, they used to say at home. Marmalade is a preserve that has been made for thousands of years with the purpose of eating fruits and other harvests during winter in the cold Navarrese town. Years ago, these preserves were able to stand out from the rest in the international market, thanks to the utmost respect for the agricultural and preserve tradition in Navarra.

I am Ana Belén, Spanish at heart and Boricua by adoption. I came to the Island from my native land, Navarra, for love more than twenty years ago. Since then, my life has turned into a fusion of both cultures. Now, Mermeladas Ana Belén is the result of everything that has defined my life: history, gastronomy, and love. These are flavors with a history that are inspired by and dedicated to those people who change the course of our world. These marmalades are artisanal, locally and sustainably produced, with a firm commitment to the environment and above all with others.
