Madam Diakhou lives in Senegal. She is 34 years old, married and the mother of four children aged 1 to 13. They all attend school, and her husband is a farmer.
She is a good client, and her dream is to have a large herd and a good future. She is educated to an elementary level and uses the MFI to increase her funds and raise the economic standard of her business.
She purchases sheep at the weekly markets, as do the other four members of the “Book Joom” group, which means "Have the Same Ambitions" in the Wolof language in her native region. She then sells her goods at these same markets and in the surrounding villages.
She has been selling sheep for several years and this loan will help her solve family problems such as food, her children’s education, and health. She likes this business because she has financial independence and it’s a passion for her. She does not yet have any constraints or obstacles that hinder her business.
