A loan helped to access quality farm inputs and services.

Kawani's story

Kawani is 63 years of age and married with two children. He lives in a rural town in Kano, Nigeria. He lives in a small community where maize farming is the major occupation and means of livelihood. Due to the lack of access to quality seeds, it has become difficult for farmers to achieve high yields to make a higher income.

Kawani is requesting a loan to buy high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and other essential inputs for his maize farming operations. Kawani wants to double last year's yield so that he can attract more customers, thereby increasing his revenue. At the end of the season, Kawani plans to use the profits he earns from his harvest to pay his children's school fees and enhance their standard of living. Kawani looks forward to living in an improved house and to many more abundant harvests.
