A loan helped to buy sheep to increase her livestock headcount.

Kishimzhan's story

Kishimzhan used her loan as intended. She is very thankful to Kiva and everyone who helped fund her.

Her farm currently has 3 cows, 50 sheep, and 2.94 ha of irrigated land where she grows rice and clover. Kishimzhan has once again applied for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) from Bai Tushum Bank to buy sheep and increase her income from livestock breeding. Kishimzhan plans to use part of the income from the loan to improve her family's living conditions and for her grandchildren's education.

Translated from Russian by Kiva volunteer Eugenia Tietz-Sokolskaya.

This loan is special because:

The borrower receives a lower interest rate to fund their agriculture activities.
