Teo B.'s business start-up story dates back to 20 years ago in Kazinga-Mukono. She picked the brain of husband, wanting to learn from him how to emulate his success. After the demise of her husband, she began a charcoal sales business. It was not long, however, until she dropped it and began a business that she still has the reins over - her general merchandise retail shop.
With weekly profits totaling 200,000 shillings, 45-year-old Teo B. is now fully in her stride. She is looking to strengthen her profits and revenue base through the purchase of more retail items with this loan.
