Yrys successfully repaid the previous loan. She is grateful to the sponsors and the KIVA fund that they financed her loan. Thanks to hard work, today her farm has three cows, 20 sheep, as well as a land share of 1.86 hectares on which she grows beans. She has a contract for the supply of organic milk to a local milk plant for further processing into dairy products. This allows her to continuously invest in her agricultural business.
Having learned that in Bai-Tushum Bank, she can get a loan secured by a futures contract on a basis of the “Value Chain” product, she applied for a loan in the amount of 200,000 soms (KGS) to purchase dairy cows to increase volumes of milk sales. Payments for milk from the plant will be directly wired to Yrys's bank account, and loan payments will be automatically deducted. The income from the loan will help to further develop the business.
