A loan helped to invest in cattle for fattening and selling.

Musitafa's story

Musitafa is a male Ugandan aged 53 years. He is married and has 7 children who are school-going. He is a hardworking commercial farmer, precisely practicing cattle fattening, an economic activity he has done for the past 12 years. As a secondary source of income, he also does crop farming extensively. He leads a fairly good life because of these revenue sources.

He is a third-time borrower with UGAFODE and has taken a credit facility of 12,000,000 UGX to use as working capital for buying more cows for fattening and later selling. He is always faced with challenges of price fluctuation and unreliable weather like drought, and also cattle diseases like foot and mouth, which are detrimental to his incomes.

Musitafa is grateful for the financial support that will boost his economic status to improve his family's living standards.
