Sharon's story

Twenty-five year old Sharon lives with her family in Bomet, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises.

Sharon is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs which she will use to improve her production and make more income for her family. One objective that Juhudi Kilimo aims at fulfilling is increasing the ease of accessing farm inputs and income-generating assets for farmers. Through the intervention of Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, fertilizers, pesticides and other important farm inputs have become more accessible to its members.

A loan to her will be a proper way of uplifting her during this period when the world is preparing to celebrate International Women’s Day.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
