Esther is 24 years old and lives in Agago with three children. She grows maize, simsim and sunflower and runs a retail shop. Her husband is a teacher and they work hand-in-hand to support their family.
Esther also belongs to a local seed business group where they are able to sell seeds to other farmers. Since she already has the seed, she is requesting a loan from VisionFund to buy fertilizers and pesticides so that she is able to get a good yield. She hopes to use income from the harvest to buy an oxen to always help her plough.
Her dream is to buy a bigger piece of land for her agriculture and also build a better permanent house.
