Rolando is a hard-working 38 year old, married man. He has been farming for 21 years. He worked with his father farming and when he grew up he started to work on his own. He became independent on rented land and inputs he paid for by doing day labor. He is requesting a new loan from Fundenuse with funds from Kiva to harvest his winter bean crop and buy inputs to plant his spring crop of beans. His goal for the future is to buy 4 manzanas ( a local land measure) of land of his own to grow on. He is grateful for the funds from Kiva which give him the opportunity to continue growing through these loans.
