A loan helped to buy chickens, corn, feed, lights, wire, and feeding troughs.

Erika Elizabeth's story

Erika is a single mother who is fighting to help her son get ahead. She wants him to be able to go to school and to have a better future. Thanks to the support that Erika has received from Kiva and Kiva's field partner Banco Vision Fund she has been able to fund her business raising chickens, which is how she supports herself. Erika wants to continue working in the business and she is asking for a loan in order to buy chickens, corn, feed, lights, wire, and feeding troughs. This will allow her to develop her business further and thus be able to raise a significant number of chickens which will offer earnings and well being for herself and her son.
