Yuranis Isabel's story

Yuranis is a 29-year-old young entrepreneur and single mother. She resides in the municipality of Campo de la Cruz in the department of Atlántico. From the comfort of her home she started her multifaceted business: selling minutes and recharges, doing eyebrow design and eyelash extensions, and having blow-dry, dye, and cut services. With these, she has strengthened the family income. Her speciality is being able to work on all of the elements that make up a face in a personalized way, and through the waxing of eyebrows she achieves a different and perfect frame for every person.

Since the opening of her business, Yuranis hasn't stopped surprising because of the quality of her beauty services and for the impeccable treatment of her customers. Despite the crisis generated by Covid-19, she has been able to maintain her business with home services, respecting biosecurity rules.

At the moment, she is joining the "Atlántico Responds" program in order to mitigate the unstable economic situation a little. She is applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing with the Santo Domingo Foundation, with the goal of investing these resources in the purchase of dyes, shampoo, rinses, keratin, bleach, aluminum foil, nail polish, wax, eyelashes, tweezers, pigments, makeup and biosafety items for her protection and that of her clients such as alcohol and face masks, among others. Support her with this loan. She will be successful.
