A loan helped to buy beans, pearl millet, and firewood for her restaurant.

P Marceline's story

P. Marceline is a widow and the mother of two children of who one is in school. She is a merchant and has been running a restaurant offering beans and Bambara peas for over fifteen years.

She is on her 6th loan cycle at YIKRI. She paid back her initial Kiva loan and has asked for a new one to purchase 10 sacks of beans, 20 sacks of pearl millet, and a load of firewood for her restaurant, thus to satisfy customer demands.

With the profits, she is going to reinvest in her business, bolster her inventory, and save money for taking care of her family. She urges everybody to guard against the Covid-19 virus.
