I Ru, from China came to this country thirty-four years ago, my first job was as a medical clerk where I worked for almost five years but designing clothing has always been my greatest passion. My business is about clothing design base on tendency and fashion. It is a very detailed process beginning from choosing a design and ending with a perfect, unique product. I am very passionate by fashion that I can design different products including clothing and accessories and luckily my designs have starting to scale to the retail stores in different areas and would love to bring my designs too the next level by creating my own line and expose introduce them in the online market. Some times I get challenge by the younger generations, but I always find a way to give the best of my experience as designer by addressing their expectations in a design.
What is the purpose of this loan?
As most business out there, my business is facing a financial injury among with other struggles due to COVID, most of my clients are from the retail stores and because of the pandemic they had to close doors and as a result my production have drop to 98%., wha's putting my business in the risk to close down indefinitely, but Kiva is giving me hopes to save my business, because this loan can help to restock in inventory and to update equipment that would help to accelerate the production process for the business.

What does "Partner covers currency loss" mean & how could it affect my Kiva loans?
When lending internationally, the local currency in a borrower's country may lose some of its value compared to the US dollar -- requiring the partner to use more of its local currency to repay Kiva in USD. We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.
Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
