A loan helped to invest in the purchase of paint, cement, stucco, labor, cupboards, and mattresses.

Aura Del Carmen's story

Aura Del Carmen is a micro-entrepreneur of 77 years of age, a resident of the city of Barranquilla, where she lives with her family.

For 15 [years], she has had a commercial activity of renting rooms for teachers, university students, retirees, and travelers. This business activity has been the sustenance for her and her family. She is recognized in the sector for offering excellent service and a good price in renting the rooms. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has occurred at a worldwide level, her level of work decreased because of biosecurity questions, and her income diminished drastically.

For this reason, she joined the program Atlántico Responde to apply for her first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo with the goal of investing in the purchase of paint, cement, stucco, labor, cupboards, and mattresses.

Help her with the loan for her business!
