At the top left in the small photo is K. Isaaya, the group leader. He also appears in the group photo.
A determined and very hard working K. Isaaya, aged 47 years, is the married father of ten children and three helpless dependents. He has operated a retail shop business for sixteen years in Kibutamu, Mubende District, selling general merchandise. At the end of every week he is able to pocket profits to the tune of 100,000 Ugandan shillings from his shop and 150,000 shillings from farming.
Isaaya’s main drawback has been having a small amount of stock in his business that cannot match the consumption rate of his customers. He is therefore seeking a loan that he figures will help him stock more goods to satisfy his customers’ high demand and also transform his enterprise into a wholesale business in future.
Being very committed to his business, with good customer care, Isaaya hopes to increase his sales revenue. This will bring about a transformation in his business and enable him to achieve a self-sustaining life and cater for his family’s requirements.
