Second Hand Clothing Group's story

Pictured here are members of the “Second Hand Clothing” group. They are small-scale businessmen based in Makeni, a city in northern Sierra Leone. They are seeking a loan of SLL 1,400,000 for each to enable them to further expand their businesses. Consequently, they will make more profit and improve their standard of living.

The leader of this group is Joseph M. B., pictured on the left. Joseph is age 40 and was born in Makeni. He is married with 6 children. For many years now, Joseph has been selling used clothes. With his share of the loan, he will buy a bale of used clothes to add to his business inventory.
