A loan helped a member to buy fabrics, threads, appliques, among other items.

San Antonio Poty Group's story

This group is called San Antonio Poty and this is its 28th cycle of the women's program, where all the members try to create new business opportunities since they cannot go out selling because of the restrictions brought by the pandemic.

The work of the advisers stands out. They follow up by phone, and at the same time encourage women to fight to overcome the crisis generated by Covid-19.

One of the members is Mirna who makes a living selling clothing. She had to stop her production since she had no sales during the quarantine, so she started making and selling face masks as an alternative business.

She requests the loan to buy fabrics, threads, appliques, among other items. This loan will help her improve her income and continue working to help with household expenses.

Note: Though only one person is in the photo, this is a group loan. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to take a group photo to avoid large gatherings.
