Mtisunge's story

Mtisunge is a 25-year-old entrepreneur, who lives with her husband in the Salima district, in Malawi. Mtisunge runs a piggery business. She is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more pigs so that she can resell them. She plans to use the profit she earns to help her family and the needy.

Mtisunge will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a member of the Camfed alumnae association (CAMA), supporting the CAMA community by organizing and leading CAMA meetings and activities.
