05 Fatou Awa Group's story

Created in July 2019, this group is composed of eight women who live in the same area. United by strong links of friendship and solidarity, these brave women have animal raising as their main occupation.

Fatou, the representative of the group, is 33 years old. She is married and the mother of six children, three of whom are boys. She counts on buying five sheep with this new loan, so she can raise them. After five or six months of fattening, she will resell them at a good price, hoping to get the best revenue. With the profits she makes, she counts on repairing her hut and taking care of her family's needs.
