This group is made up of 15 members who share strong ties of solidarity and mutual support. The members live in the same village, and they seized the opportunity to join the agricultural group during it's inception in June 2019. They practice rain-fed agriculture.
Monsieur Daouda (raising his hand on the right side of the photo) is the group's representative. He is 45 years old, married, and the father of five children, two of whom are girls. The oldest is 18 and the youngest is 3.
He has been farming peanuts, millet, and corn for over 15 years. He gets his inputs (seeds, fertilizer, pesticides) at weekly markets in the area. After the harvest, he sells his products at the same markets.
With this new loan he plans to buy peanut seeds and peanut fertilizer. The generated profits will allow him to invest in livestock for fattening.
